Born in 2001, Soul Food Guide was out of a passion for connecting people with the unique flavors and experiences of soul food. What started as a dining and entertainment website has evolved into a full-fledged platform that serves the African-American and multi-cultural community across the nation. Founder Robert Moses, with over 30 years in the food and beverage industry, retired from his roles at Hilton and the Sacramento Kings to pursue this vision. He is also a culinary school graduate with a deep understanding of what makes soul food so special in American culture.
Robert’s personal journey is at the heart of Soul Food Guide. With his expertise and commitment to promoting Black-owned restaurants and fostering a community around soul food, the business has grown into a trusted resource for food lovers everywhere. From highlighting Southern-style restaurants to offering exclusive products for home chefs, Soul Food Guide has made its mark as the go-to source for all things soul food and beyond.
